We are very excited to announce that the Book Illustration Competition 2015 is now open for entries. We know there’s loads of incredible talent out there – this is your chance to show it to us!

This year’s book is The Folio Collection of Ghost Stories, a brand new anthology of classic spine-chillers and lesser-known gems. To find out more and to enter, click here.

The 2014 competition, to illustrate Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness, was won by Sean McSorley – click here to see his winning entry. Sean beat hundreds of illustrators from over 30 countries to win the competition.

The Book Illustration Competition is a unique partnership between House of Illustration and The Folio Society that seeks to identify and promote new talent in illustration, and is open to illustrators over the age of 18 from all around the world. The first prize is a prestigious Folio Society commission, worth £5,000, to illustrate a new edition. Five runners up will each receive £500.Three of the six shortlisted entries will be from illustration students.
